Well . . . . this week has been a good week.
The rain has slowed down a little here, and the water in our house has dried up a bit. We found a new house to move into, just waiting for the owners to repaint! So we should move there soon. We also found out that for sure we will have two more Elders moving in to our house, and they will be working in another city close to here. That means there will be six elders in our house. We live on the bottom floor right now and the place we are moving into is on the top floor. I am not looking forward to packing everything up and down the stairs!
This week we were able to find some people that are needing our help, and want to know more about the church. So I'm excited about that. It is always a good day when you get to share the gospel.
One day this week we were walking back to the church and saw an ambulance and a big group of people. When we walked up there, we found out that two guys had just been assaulted!! One got shot in the arm and another hit on top of the head with a gun. It was lucky nobody died. There is a part of our area that we don't go into at dark because of drugs. All the people that live there say that we need to leave there at night time. So we try and avoid that area.
This passed week we also had a new elder move into our house, he is from Sao Paulo. I also got a package from my family with some Idaho Potatoes!!! Ha it's good to have food and stuff from home. But that is about it for this week!
Gordon B Hinckley said, "Never assume that you can make it alone. You need the help of the Lord. Never hesitate to get on your knees in some private place and speak with Him."
Hope everyone has a good week! Talk to you guys later.
Love,
Elder Nickerson
